A retractable hose reel is a mounted reel that automatically rewinds your garden hose. You pull out as much hose as you need; a locking mechanism holds it in place while you water; then a gentle tug releases the lock and the hose winds neatly back into the unit. It keeps your hose tidy, tangle-free and protected from the sun when it’s not in use.

The Classic is our original best-seller with a 16.74L/min flow, a 2-year warranty and more than 19,000 five-star reviews - a proven, great-value choice. Both come in 20m and 30m lengths, in beige or charcoal. Both rewind automatically and the brackets share the same screw template.

It must be mounted to work - a retractable reel can’t be used free-standing. A wall bracket is included. If you don’t have a wall, the Fixed Ground Mount (screws to decks or concrete) or the Mounting Post (concreted into the ground) let you position it anywhere in the garden so the reel can still swing freely during use.

Yes. You can add an extra length of hose to the end of the main hose as long as it has Hoselink Hose End Connectors - though the added section won’t retract into the unit. You can also extend the 2m leader hose between the tap and the reel using our 1.5m or 5m Leader Hose Extensions.

Definitely. Our reels are UV-stabilised to stand up to the hot Australian sun and all weather. A Hose Reel Cover adds an extra layer of UV protection and helps extend the life of the casing. External colour fading won’t affect the reel’s performance.

Yes. We sell a padlock that secures the reel onto its wall bracket so it can’t be lifted off - it fits a hole beneath the bracket. Please note for Classic Series Hose Reels the padlock can’t be used with the Mounting Post or Fixed Ground Mount.
