For protection of the light and personal safety please only use suitable replacement battery. Use of a different battery will void the warranty and may damage the light. Replacement batteries are available through Hoselink by contacting our friendly Customer Service Team.
Solar lights are not only a viable alternative to conventional outdoor wired lights, particularly where installing electrical lighting is prohibitive, but they’re also eco-friendly, low in cost and highly energy-efficient thanks to their LED bulbs and an energy-saving power source.
With so many to select from, we’ve helped take the work out of choosing. Read more on our Solar Lights buying guide blog here.

They’re great!
I bought these lights from Hoselink about 4 years ago. I should acknowledge that they are fixed to a south facing wall, so they never get direct sunlight. I like the look of them and the warm glow. However, in the winter they have never really worked, with most nights them not being charged enough to turn on even when it first gets dark. Over time that have got worse and I now need to replace them. I wish someone made good quality solar lights that have effective solar panels. I assume there is not enough room on a light like this to have a panel that is effective. From my reading, this light's setup is mismatched because the 0.5W solar panel is too weak to reliably charge the 1200 mAh battery on a daily basis.
We're sorry to hear that the Modern Solar Wall Light hasn't been performing as well as you'd hoped, especially over the years. We appreciate you sharing the details about the south-facing placement and the challenges you've experienced during winter months. It's clear you've put thought into understanding how the product works, and we understand your frustration.
