The Hoselink smart home Wi-Fi Gateway device:
Due to a manufacturing fault, the product can short circuit.

The Hoselink Wi-Fi Gateway device for Single and Double Outlet Bluetooth Tap Timers (product model 5840). Units sold between 5 January 2026 and 9 March 2026 are affected.
If you purchased a Hoselink Wi-Fi Gateway (model 5840) between 5 January 2026 and 9 March 2026, your unit is affected by this recall. Check your order confirmation email for the product name and purchase date.
Stop using the product immediately. Switch off power at the power point outlet and disconnect the product from the power supply. Then choose one of the two remedy options above to receive a refund or replacement.
You can receive a full refund by either returning the unit to us (Option 1) or safely disposing of it at an e-waste facility (Option 2). Once we confirm receipt or disposal, your refund will be processed.
Follow either Option 1 or Option 2 above and specify that you would like a replacement. Working replacements will be available from mid to late May 2026 and will be sent once stock is received.
Working replacement units are expected to be available from mid to late May 2026. They will be sent out once new stock is received.
Because the unit is electronic, it must not be placed in regular household garbage. Take it to a local e-waste drop-off point such as a Council site, Community Recycling Centre (CRC), or a participating retail outlet. Find your nearest site at Recycle Mate.
