Learn how the Weeper Hose can make your life easier
Reduce water wastage
Specially designed to water garden beds more efficiently, the Weeper Hose slowly seeps water directly into the soil closer to plant roots, reducing evaporation. The low water pressure coupled with the porous nylon material allows water to seep out at an even, slow rate, ensuring water goes where it's needed most, reducing any unnecessary wastage.
The quality internal hose is encased in durable nylon that fills and allows water to seep through evenly. The hose has been designed to work with low water pressure, so we recommend only turning your garden tap on partially. Unlike when you use a traditional sprinkler or when you water by hand, the water from a weeper hose is designed to reach the root system directly instead of delivering water to leaves and other areas of the garden that may not benefit from it.
Easy to use
The Weeper Hose can be used above ground or below a thin layer of mulch (do not bury underground). We recommend laying the hose in a straight line or gentle curve in garden beds. Simply connect to your Hoselink-fitted hose using the included Accessory Connector and away you go! For a longer length, two weeper hoses can be connected together by removing the stop cap at one end. The hose has been cleverly designed with an internal thread at one end and an external thread on the other, allowing them to connect with ease.
Q. What's the difference between a Soaker Hose and a Weeper Hose? A. A Soaker Hose is a plastic hose with holes throughout its length and emits a spray outwards, similar to a sprinkler. A Weeper Hose slowly "weeps" water and looks like it is dripping. Because Weeper Hoses drip directly into the ground underneath them, they are suitable for watering garden beds, can be buried under mulch and are useful for conserving water. Soaker Hoses, on the other hand, act more like a sprinkler. Many people like to use them on nature strips or other long sections of garden.
Q. Can you join more then one Weeper/Soaker Hose Together? Yes. The Weeper and Soaker Hoses have different threads at each end of the hose, allowing you to join more than one length together. The maximum length we recommend for effective watering is 30m.
Q. Can I bury the Weeper Hose underground? A. We do not recommend burying this product underground. However it would be ideally placed sitting on top of the ground but under mulch.
Q. Can I turn the Weeper Hose around corners? A. This hose is best utilised in a straight line, or with very gentle curves. It will not be suitable for a sharp turn.
Q. How do I connect it to water? A. This product comes with a Hoselink Accessory Connector. You lay the Weeper Hose in your garden bed and attach a Hoselink-fitted hose end to the Accessory Connector. You would not attach this product directly to a tap unless the tap is in the garden bed.
