I recently arranged a hose installation and unfortunately had several issues with the service. I had scheduled time off work to be home for the appointment, but when the installer arrived, he mentioned he never received the photos of the wall I had sent in advance. Because of this, he didn’t bring the proper equipment to assess the wall, as the necessary tool was with his supervisor who was on holiday.
We rescheduled for later that same week, which again required both my partner and me to adjust our work commitments. However, the installer cancelled on the day. I explained that reorganising work schedules is not easy and asked that the agreed times be respected. He came that day.
When the installation finally happened, the hose had to be placed in a different location based on the installer’s recommendation. I was also told that a part I had purchased — based on the company’s instructions — was unnecessary, meaning the cost was avoidable.
Overall, I found the process unprofessional and disappointing, given the multiple disruptions and lack of clear communication. That said, the hose is now installed, and I’m happy with the final product itself.
