CEO and Founder of Hoselink for whom the
grip of drought has hit close to home.
Following the news that NSW is in 100% drought, Hoselink has pledged to raise essential funds for drought-stricken farmers and rural communities across Australia.
The urgent call for help comes after one of the driest winters on record provoking a dire situation for many farmers and rural communities up and down the country. As dams dry up and grass for livestock feed becomes increasingly sparse, severe water restrictions have been put in place as many farmers struggle to afford food for both their animals and their families.
Partnering up with the Buy a Bale campaign, part of the Rural Aid Australia charity, the money raised by Hoselink will go towards delivering vital water supplies to rural communities.
‘Many parts of Australia are suffering from a long and very destructive drought,’ says Wayne Thomson, General Manager for Rural Aid. ‘Rural Aid helps deliver hope and support to many farmers and their communities through the delivery of fodder, food, fuel, water and mental support. Rural Aid is very happy to partner with Hoselink through its Buy a Bale program, and funds raised through this promotion will be used to provide much-needed water to farmers and their livestock.’
For every $250 raised 11,500 litres of water can be delivered to a farm in need, with Hoselink hoping to contribute well over three million litres of water at the end of the campaign.
Saving water has always been a key initiative for family business Hoselink. Our range of water-efficient hose connectors bears the Smart Approved WaterMark stamp of approval for their no-leak, no-burst guarantee. A unique bayonet-style ‘point and twist’ design bucks the trend for unreliable click-on fittings to provide a 100% watertight connection on any standard 12mm or 18mm hose, ensuring not a drop of water is wasted.
$10 will be donated to Buy a Bale from every Hoselink Retractable Hose Reel sold during the month of September, and each reel comes pre-fitted with our reliable water-saving connectors. Our first donation of $24,460 was made on 19th September.
