Helpful additions to the Metal Wall Trellis for 6 in 1 Garden Bed
Give climbing plants somewhere to go, and free up ground space for everything else. This trellis trains beans, peas, cucumbers, and tomatoes upward instead of letting them sprawl across the bed, while better airflow around the foliage helps cut the risk of fungal disease. Flowering climbers like sweet peas get the same support to put on a proper show.
Made from the same Zn-Al-Mg steel as our Metal Raised Garden Beds, with 304 stainless steel hardware, it's strong enough for heavier crops too, just add extra supports or fruit slings for pumpkins, melons, or squash as they mature. It's backed by a 12-month warranty and finished in light grey to match your bed.
This trellis fits the 198cm configuration of the 6 in 1 garden bed, and the equivalent 198cm configuration of the 9 in 1 garden bed. Assembly takes 30–45 minutes using the bed's existing screw holes, with all hardware and an Allen wrench included.

Q: How do I attach a trellis to a metal raised bed without drilling holes?
The holes have been pre drilled to attach easily . Simply remove the nuts from the top two holes, replace the short bolts with the longer ones and attach the rods
Q: What trellis width should match my bed's length?
The trellis is specifically made to connect to the longest wall of the longest configuration. To fit shorter configurations, you can remove some parts.
Q: Can I leave the trellis attached year-round through all weather?
Constructed from aluminium-zinc-magnesium coated steel (galvanised Al-Mg-Zn steel),
the trellis is engineered from the same high grade materials as our garden beds and can withstand the harshest of weather year after year.
Q: Which climbing plants grow best on a raised bed trellis?
Great options include cucumbers, pole beans, peas, tomatoes, squash, melons, nasturtiums, and climbing flowers like morning glory. Lightweight vines like peas and beans are the easiest to manage.
Q: Can I grow heavy crops like squash or melons on a trellis attached to a raised bed?
Yes, the trellis is strong and well anchored. Create individual slings (from pantyhose, fabric, or mesh netting) to cradle each fruit as it grows. Without slings, the weight can snap vines or pull the trellis down.
Q: How do I train plants to climb a trellis in a raised bed?
Start by gently guiding young stems toward the trellis and loosely tying them with soft garden ties, twine, or velcro strips. As the plant grows, continue redirecting new growth. Many plants like peas and beans will eventually self-cling with tendrils.
Q: Will a trellis help with vertical gardening to maximize space in a small bed?
Absolutely. Growing vertically frees up ground space for other crops, improves airflow, reducing disease and making harvesting easier. It's one of the best strategies for small or urban gardens.
Q: Is it rust and corrosion resistant?
Yes. All parts are rust and corrosion resistant. The hardware is made of food grade stainless so does not rust either.
Q: Do I need any tools for assembly?
Either a PH2 Phillips head screwdriver or for faster assembly, an electric drill with PH2 phillips head drill bit.
Q: How long does assembly take?
It should take 1 person 30 to 45 minutes.
Does it come with warranty?:
It comes with a 3 year warranty
