Thinking that this was the solution to watering my undercover pot plants that are not exposed to the natural elements i purchased the HoseLink single BT Tap Timer. Connection was simple; watch out that the device does not default to the manual setting (the On'Off button on the device). However, the connection to the home network is not strong and consequently the device was unable to maintain its setting and defaulted back to manual. I want to warn users to check the strength of your proposed location for your device for BT.
Hi John, thank you very much for your feedback and for taking the time to leave a review. We're sorry to hear that you're having some difficulties with the connection strength.
From your order, it looks like you just have the Bluetooth timer, so this shouldn't be relying on any connection to your home network - it is solely based on the Bluetooth connection from your phone to the timer. Therefore if you move closer to the timer, you should find that the connection gets stronger.
We also supply a separate item called the Wifi Gateway which pairs with the timer - this connects to the home network and allows you to control the timer completely remotely even from out of the house. It sounds like you may require one of these to get the full functionality out of the timer to suit your needs.

The timer works well, and shuts off completely when watering finished

The app to operate this timer costs more than the timer for 12 months use

Thanks for your review.
Payment is not required for the app. When we introduced this Timer into our range, there was only one app for Tuya and one app for SmartLife. Since then, multiple different apps have been set up which have very slight variations in the name and logos. You will need to ensure you download one of the below to gain access to the free version.
